The Mars Backstop Club is the parent support organization for the Mars High School Fightin’ Planets
Baseball program, supporting players on the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. We provide
these teams with financial and logistic support for several important needs. This includes indoor winter
training, player apparel, Senior Day celebration, a Year-End Banquet and a Spring Training Trip. This
year, we are also sponsoring a scholarship that will be awarded to one high school senior baseball
player.

In 2022, the Fightin’ Planets were the WPIAL Section 2-5A champions! With several outstanding players
returning, they will again compete for a section championship and are poised to return to the WPIAL
playoffs.

The Backstop Club is looking to partner with local businesses to help the team reach their goals. We are
offering several levels of sponsorship this year, each providing the chance to attract attention to your
business and to demonstrate your support of the Mars Baseball Program and the Mars community.

Your participation at any level would be greatly appreciated. All money raised will go into the club’s
general fund. The Mars Backstop Club is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is tax-deductible.
